Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing & Safety Business Operations Specialist (Level 4) to join the Manufacturing and Business Operations team based out of Everett, Washington .

The Manufacturing and Safety organization supports driving stable operations and the integration of the manufacturing and safety teams across BCA. In this role, you will be required to travel frequently from Everett, Washington to Renton, Washington. The Business Operations Specialist we're seeking is energized by learning, inspired by building improved processes and solutions, is a uniquely motivated self-starter, and consistently motivates others to action through leading by example. The desired candidate will work well with others across organizations with various backgrounds and experience to gather information, make decisions / recommendations, and drive improvements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Guides and facilitates the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals.

  • Partners with organization leaders on long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives, and initiatives.

  • Coordinates and clarifies analyses with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business case.

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external organizations for large scale complex plans to fulfill the broad level strategies established by executive leadership.

  • Facilitates the establishment of an overall management system architecture by utilizing the

  • Program Management Best Practices.

  • Utilizes the management systems and processes to provide status information on commitments and compliance to plan.

  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.

  • Develops and maintains visibility system in support of the architecture.

  • Develops reports, presentations, and communications for senior leadership.

  • Leads the development of standard tools and processes.

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning, and refines the business case.

  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.

  • Applicant must be willing and able to travel between Renton and Everett, WA on a weekly basis.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, Washington with occasional travel to Renton, Washington.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading projects

  • 10+ years of experience in leading cross-functional and/or project teams

  • 5+ years of job experience interfacing with and supporting senior leadership

  • Are you capable to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business, engineering, or related field

  • Experience working with external collaborations and partnerships

  • Experience with business operations and/or business process improvements

  • Experience working in a distributed environment and multiple teams

  • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

  • Experience with budget management principles and practices

  • Experience building relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promote ideas with enthusiasm, conviction, and assertiveness

  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $116,000.00 - $125,000.00
