Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will work closely with the production crew to filter closures through machines, forming them into various-sized capsules based on customer specifications for wine bottle tops and spirits. Your role will also involve palletizing products and assisting with order preparation for shipment. You will ensure that products are organized correctly and that work orders are properly stored. This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery to form closures into specified sizes.
Work with the production team to organize and store products according to work orders.
Palletize products and prepare orders for shipment.
Move pallets using a pallet jack and pour materials from boxes into the machine base tank.
Perform basic quality checks to ensure accuracy on capsules.
Conduct troubleshooting and inspection of machinery.
Maintain a fast-paced production environment and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Conduct quality control tests using a computer system.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of production or warehouse experience.
Experience with machine operating, particularly in bottling lines or medical device assembly.
Ability to move pallets and get certified for pallet jack use.
Attention to detail and ability to perform basic quality checks.
Good attendance record, as the production line requires a full team to operate.
Comfortable using a computer for quality control tests.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
