Need 8 full time, temporary, seasonal Construction Laborers to work at locations in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa. From: 07/26/2024 - 12/31/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered under this job order, but not required. The employer may require workers to work 40 hours per week but if it requests workers to work additional hours, the worker has the right to work only the 40 hours per week and not the additional hours offered by the employer. In Minnesota only, all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. In Minnesota only, effective 01/01/2024 per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 10/13/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: On farms, building, repairing, and remodeling of livestock/poultry buildings. Removing, repairing, and setting slats, installation of feeders and feed lines, and installation of gates. Tin sheeting walls, installing doors, placing and repairing concrete, caulk structures, welding. Clean job sites. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month of livestock equipment installation/repair experience required. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. for 75 yds. Post- employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
