DeVivo Bus Sales currently has a full-time Vehicles Manager opening at our location in Falmouth, ME. The Vehicles Manager oversees the operations of the vehicles department for the location. This position is responsible for managing the smooth and efficient operations of the vehicles department, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing the overall performance of the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team that includes administrative staff and delivery drivers.

  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of vehicles department personnel as needed.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement vehicles department policies, procedures, and standards to enhance efficiency and quality of service.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all service operations.

  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure a well-balanced and diverse vehicle inventory that meets customer needs and preferences.

  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy and update the database accordingly.

  • Coordinate with the sales and finance departments to ensure timely delivery of ordered vehicles.

  • Collaborate with the internal service department to ensure timely and quality pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and repairs on vehicles requiring service before sale.

  • Oversee relationships with external companies providing sublet work, such as delivery, installs or service to vehicles in inventory or being sold.

  • Monitor order status and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.

  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation of vehicle activities, including delivery slips, repair orders, and invoices.

  • Process and manage warranty claims on vehicles sold by the department in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Work closely with manufacturers and warranty providers to ensure efficient claim resolution.

  • Maintain proper documentation of warranty claims and ensure adherence to warranty guidelines.

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all vehicles delivered by the department meet high-quality standards.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before delivery to customers, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.

  • Collaborate with the service teams to ensure any necessary repairs or improvements are completed before delivery.

  • Coordinate vehicle pickup and delivery logistics for purchased and sold vehicles.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles to and from the dealership, utilizing reliable transportation partners.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 5 years- experience in a managerial role within the automotive or transportation industry, preferably in a dealership setting

  • Strong knowledge of bus and commercial vehicle service and maintenance processes

  • Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve high-quality execution

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements

  • Valid driver-s license
