SHIFTDET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Machining Technician, Tooling builds and repairs tooling for use in production by performing basic setup of CNC 3 and multi axis machines and required to operate manual machine tools to cut, drill and shape where applicable.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist in identification of tooling needing rework or maintenance. Perform hand and machining operations to perform minor repairs/modifications and part salvage. Design tooling using CAD software Builds tooling to be used in the manufacture of medical devices Plans and orders materials for tooling projects Sets up and operates a variety of manual and CNC tool room equipment Brazes items as needed Programs CNC equipment in the tool room Oversees and performs maintenance on machines and tooling Assists maintenance department by making emergency parts or part repair in order to get a machine running again quickly May perform work related to prototypes or a new product launch such as machining or writing programs for CNC equipment Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation and daily maintenance sheets Operates multiple machines simultaneously Performs set up of 3 & 4 Axis CNC machines Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS) Completes all required training Responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes Operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with minimal or no supervision CNC machining across multi-axis or multiple CNC machines, in a manufacturing work environment required.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 3+ Years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Required) 1+ Years of experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer/Designer (Preferred) Experience of the processes in the work area (Preferred)
