Job Summary: Insight's proactive, patient centric and empathetic Nurse Practitioner will join our growing team of medical professionals to support our Urgent Care in providing patient care second to none! Patients and families seeking effective surgical procedures, rehabilitation, and neurological treatment can trust in our highly skilled and renowned medical professional. As we provide comprehensive services at our state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient facility, we remain driven by our basic oath to help patients heal while providing a genuine, human touch. Our Nurse Practitioner role directly supports the Orthopedic Department and Urgent Care clinic located in Flint, MI as a full-time Nurse Practitioner, supporting both the staff and patient case load to help ensure proper coverage from the times of 8am - 8pm. This is a growing business unit, therefore Nurse Practitioners who are flexible and dedicated to driving an impact to both the team and patients is desired.

Duties:

  • Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis.
  • Performing physical exams and patient observations.
  • Consulting with healthcare professionals and families.
  • Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries.
  • Administer and analyzing diagnostic tests.
  • Monitoring and operating medical equipment.
  • Diagnosing health issues
  • Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms.
  • Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies.
  • Detects changes in patients' health 
  • Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury.

Qualifications:

Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.

Orthopedic training/experience preferred.

Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.

Previous experience within field or related work environment is preferred

RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP.

APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.

Prescriptive authorization.

Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
