We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating patient information in the Athena EMR system, explaining procedures to patients, clarifying and following doctors' orders, and scanning necessary information into PACS. Additionally, you will maintain room cleanliness after exams and procedures, obtain patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures, and demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. This position offers the opportunity for career advancement and cross-training in other modalities.
Responsibilities
Update patient information in the Athena EMR system
Explain procedures to patients
Clarify and follow doctors' orders and scan needed information into PACS
Maintain room cleanliness after exams and procedures
Obtain patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures
Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control
Essential Skills
ARRT certification
BLS certification
Ability to handle high volume daily
Experience in medical assisting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Athena or other EMR systems is a plus
Work Environment
You will be working with three other technologists in the Urgent Care Center (UCC). The shift schedule includes four 10-hour shifts per week, with one of the shifts required to be on a Saturday. You will need to stay until the last patient is completed. The work environment is collaborative, with a supportive team and opportunities for internal advancement. All regional managers and the director have advanced into leadership roles within the organization after working here for over five years.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
