Summary About the Position: Performs duties as the Material Manager, has the expert knowledge of and is directly responsible for command supply and logistics for the organization which include establishing, executing, and monitoring operations for purchase requests for the multi-class Supply Support Activity (SSA) within The Army Aviation Brigade (TAAB). Responsibilities Provide daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of management reports generated on the End User Workstation and identifies problem areas and viable solutions. Develop database structures for conducting periodic review and analysis to determine problematic trends in supply support performance. Perform functional analysis of supply problems and determines courses of action to resolve problem areas. Provide logistical and financial guidance to Resource Managers as it pertains to funding of all classes of supply within Global Combat Supply System Army. Perform the operation of Global Combat Supply System Army supply management functions of Release Strategy Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) daily activities, stock posture, and order review. Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. Specialized Experience, GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves logistic and supply management program operations in aviation, such as support and services planning, automated systems, analyzing supply issues and facilitating logistics operations. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Planning and Evaluating Supply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This is a Mission Essential position: if this area experiences severe weather conditions that result in the installation being closed for normal business operations, you are still required to report for or remain on duty to maintain infrastructure operations, health, safety, and security.
