Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and arranges materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage; moves and loads or unloads equipment, materials, and products; operates or drives forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment and using scoops, hands trucks, and wheelbarrows to load and move materials.

  • Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

  • Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine materials required or overdue and to locate materials, requisitions materials and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of materials.

  • Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of materials and its transportation to various departments, and examines materials delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.

  • Monitors and controls movement of materials and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board, compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applies knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and uses adding machine.

  • Compiles reports of quantity and type of materials on hand, moves or transports materials from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck.

  • Compiles perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records.

  • Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years logistics experience.

  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army logistics or transportation procedures.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.

  • Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • High School Diploma / GED.

Desired Qualification

  • U.S. Army MOS 92A qualification or civilian experience supporting supply or transportation operations.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Hourly Compensation: $22.25

Physical Demands:

  • Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors.

  • Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
