U.S. Army Cyber Command Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is in the Supply and Service Division located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. Responsibilities Responsible for directing/coordinating staff personnel responsible for sustainment operations (supply/maintenance), transportation, facilities, and acquisition initiatives. Supervise procurement personnel who are responsible for establishing the organization's acquisition policy, and/or review and analysis of the organization's procurement practices and acquisition packages. Plan, schedule, direct, and supervise the work performed on a daily basis of both Military/Civilian Branches and oversees the work of subordinate personnel. Plan and establishes the work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable work. Identifies needs and makes provisions for training and development of subordinates Present and secure concurrence of plans, proposals, and methods for the correction of obstacles affecting logistic and acquisition support. This position is in the Supervision/Management Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by coordinating with staff and leadership to resolve logistics operation issues; recommending actions and initiatives to enhance logistics management effectiveness; conducting analysis of an organization's procurement practices and acquisition packages; and performing a full range of supervisory functions including planning work to be accomplished by subordinates. Education Additional Information If you are a current federal career/career-conditional employee, you will be placed on an excepted appointment. This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status. Prior to appointment applicants are required to sign a statement indicating they understand the conditions of employment or assignment to the position and acknowledge the consequences of failing to meet and maintain those required conditions. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
