U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Program Manager in Fort Hamilton, New York

Summary About the Position: Serves as Chief of the Program Support Division within the Regional Programs Directorate of North Atlantic Division (NAD). A full time, dedicated member of the senior staff with access to seniormost leadership. A Regional Expert with the ability to address regional information requirements and decision-making requirements, leading implementation, development, and modifications to advance data, analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Responsibilities Leads the Program Support Division’s data analytics team, comprised of multidisciplinary analytical professionals responsible for analyzing schedule, milestone and cost data across six main program lines of effort. Communicates analytic results with the entire vertical team. Performs project and program scheduling Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) across the Region and across all business lines. Presents current status at quarterly senior leader Program Management Reviews and develops recommendations to promote continuous improvement. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts both short and long-range priorities, and prepares objectives and schedules to ensure the completion of work. Reviews the work of subordinates for overall conformance with policy and mission objectives and locally established standards. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing implementation of data strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within a large organization; 2) providing professional advice and technical guidance to leaders and staff on the overall development and management of program schedule; AND/OR 3) managing the integration and implementation of AI and advanced analytics to improve business processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Project Management Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-13. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
