Carnival Cruise Line 2025 Internship - Entertainment Intern in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Job Description

The Princess Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

2025 Program Dates

Program runs 10 weeks from June 16th - August 25th.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) or in a graduate/Ph.D. program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2025.

Compensation

Undergraduate - $25.00/hr, Graduate - $35.00/hr, Ph.D. - $45.00/hr

Internship Project Details -

  • Support Entertainment Department Teams: Provide hands-on assistance across various Entertainment Department divisions, including production coordination, youth programs, activities planning, Creative Studio operations, casting and recruitment, and music programming. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between these teams to enhance overall guest experience.

  • Operational Observation and Assistance: Actively observe and contribute to the day-to-day operations of both shoreside and shipboard environments. Identify and share opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure that all entertainment activities align with company standards and guest expectations.

  • Project Management: Take ownership of projects from initial concept through to execution and final review. This includes planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while consistently aligning with brand objectives.

Requirements

  • Participate in onboard ship visits (inclusive of sailings) to identify opportunities and support new initiatives.

  • The ability to travel to various locations as required to support business needs.

  • Assist in the management and execution of entertainment initiatives, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and align with brand goals.

  • Offer administrative assistance to the entertainment department, including scheduling, documentation, and communication tasks to ensure smooth operations.

  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and creative meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance entertainment offerings.

  • Regularly attend and engage in department meetings, providing input and updates on ongoing projects and initiatives.

  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the department.

  • Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Project Management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage.

  • Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

  • The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.
