Kedplasma Data Architect in Fort Lee, New Jersey

Position : Data Architect

Location : Fort Lee, NJ

JOB SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for designing databases and data structures for

multiple systems including analytical data stored in the Data Warehouse. This role

will be responsible for instituting best practices and policies around designing

flexible data warehouses and business intelligence for multiple use cases to

support all departments driving efficiency and maximizing revenue generation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains data models and toolsets to support growing global Data

Warehouse.

  • Develops ETL tools and processes for data extraction, normalization, integration, and

processing of data into the data warehouse.

  • Develops policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data to ensure accuracy

and integrity from source to destination.

  • Coordinates with IT Infrastructure team to deploy software and hardware upgrades that

allows for large data use cases.

  • Implements new data analysis methodologies and BI strategies.

  • Performs data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.

  • Develops and analyzes SQL queries (Oracle and Microsoft) to support business operations and regulatory audits.

  • Creates technical and functional specifications for new designs and collaborates with team members to obtain approvals.

  • Liaises with QA on compliance and validation issues.

  • Other job-related responsibilities as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Power BI and ETL tools and best practices.

  • Experience with Oracle OLTP and OLAP preferred.

  • Ability to understand and find appropriate applications for data and analysis results.

  • Proficient in SQL Query language

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.

  • Minimum five years' experience in a Data Warehouse business intelligence, data mining and

data architecture role, preferably in a life sciences or other regulated environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently performs work while sitting.
