System One Systems Test Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required) in Fort Mead, Maryland
Our client is actively seeking a full-time Systems Test Engineer (TS/SCI) supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD.
This position is contract to hire at 12 months on assignment
This position requires that the consultant work on-site with one day of virtual work per work. There may be times during a project were the consultant will need to be onsite 5 days a week
Compensation 140k - 150k + Bonus
What you will be doing:
Perform vulnerability, analytical and technical assessments on NC3/National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) systems by developing or leveraging, testing, and configuring network analysis, voice, video quality and modeling tool suites in unclassified and classified environments up to TS/SCI
Ensure the Information Technology (IT) assets in the laboratory spaces assigned to NEC SE&I operate in accordance with DoD policy (i.e., IA 8500 series) and legislation (i.e., FISMA)
Conduct end-to-end technical assessments of NC3/NLCC communication systems including secure and non-secure voice, data, and video communications services for classified and unclassified environments
Provide specialized engineering, test, and evaluation assistance and developing and/or leveraging, integrating, and modifying existing (i.e., GOTS or COTS) tools
Develop automated capabilities for testing methodologies, analysis processes and databases, analytic tools, and associated documentation
Maintain and upgrade a suite of existing hardware and software test and data analysis tools.
Document data analysis results and recommendations.
What you will need:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility
Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field
Years of experience: 10+ years’ relevant experience providing tests and evaluations of hardware and/or software development, developing and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting results, and preparing studies, plans, and analyses in support of a program
Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Python coding experience and Security + certification
Preferred Experience:
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Oracle database structure and maintenance experience.
Understanding of Cloud storage (e.g., AWS), including cloud storage architecture and security.
Understanding of/and prior work with VOIP systems, codecs, and transmission standards.
Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3), National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) experience or background.
