ManTech Senior Software SPLUNK Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland
ManTech is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Senior Software SPLUNK Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD . In this role, you will be responsible for conducting cloud software research, development, and engineering services, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements.
Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results and resolving software problem reports.
Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment, providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a UNIX/Linux operating environment.
Experience with SPLUNK, including at least 1 year of architecting, deploying, and general administration.
Experience developing and integrating REST services.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
Strong self-starter with leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software with automation scripting.
Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
Experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Bachelor's Degree
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
