ManTech Senior Software SPLUNK Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland

ManTech is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Senior Software SPLUNK Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD . In this role, you will be responsible for conducting cloud software research, development, and engineering services, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements.

  • Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results and resolving software problem reports.

  • Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment, providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis and synthesis.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a UNIX/Linux operating environment.

  • Experience with SPLUNK, including at least 1 year of architecting, deploying, and general administration.

  • Experience developing and integrating REST services.

  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.

  • Strong self-starter with leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software with automation scripting.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.

  • Experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

  • Bachelor's Degree

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
