Science Systems and Applications, Inc. Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland
SSAI seeks a Systems Engineer, Senior Advisor to perform functions in support of a program located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
Provide support to large-scale systems, major system elements, and/or interfacing systems.
Provide overall system engineering expertise in the architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design and/or implementation, or testing for the program.
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architecture to develop system requirements specifications.
Support cloud technology adoption, specifically the adoption of business tools into the cloud architecture.
Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
Review and draft white papers and technical marketing and training materials.
Required Qualifications:
Four (4) years demonstrated experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase /Accumulo, or Big Table
At least 3 years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems
Experience in Python, K8 familiarity SA work with STE/STN
Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required.
