The Michaels Organization Warehouse Supervisor in Fort Moore, Georgia

The Warehouse Supervisor manages and coordinates the daily warehousing activities and is responsible to maintain the maintenance supply and tool inventory using an inventory control tracking program; assuring that all supplies are available for proper use and timely repairs. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee productivity, quality, and customer service standards. Responsibilities include purchasing supply parts, equipment, and tools as needed. He/She will ensure that the warehouse is organized in a neat and orderly manner. He/She will input and track purchase orders using inventory and property management software. The Warehouse Supervisor will follow all company policies for work place safety standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner, and in addition to the duties described herein, will perform other functions as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facility Director.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and ensure warehouse staff adheres to policies and procedures set forth by the company.2. Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews, ensuring customer-service standards, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements.3. Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.4. Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts, reconciling variances, and inputting data.5. Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.6. Must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws and applicable regulations.

  2. Attend and participate in MMS training and seminars as requested.

  3. Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.9. Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.10. Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.11. Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.

  4. Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.

  5. Monitor automated warehousing system via operate a computer to enter data.

  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  1. Proven warehouse supervisory experience.2. Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.3. Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.4. Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.5. Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.7. Strong organizational and time management skills.8. Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.9. Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws, and regulations.10. Must be able to pass background investigation and drug test screening.

Required Education/Training:

  1. High School Diploma or GED2. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.3. All specific certifications required by law.4. Must successfully complete all required courses, classes, and training provided by MMS.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as complete assignments independently.2. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment.3. Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.4. Must be able to read and write legibly to complete required maintenance reports and requests, review manuals and operating instructions, read cautionary labels, and respond to written instruction from staff and residents.5. Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.6. Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion.7. Exercise problem-solving skills.8. Interact with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, residents, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.

Working Conditions:

  1. Must be able to work 40 hours per week to include evenings and occasional overtime hours may be required.2. Requires routine squatting, walking, and lifting of no more than 50lbs without assistance, with full range of motion.3. Must be able and eligible to drive a company vehicle for completing resident service requests, picking up replacement parts and supplies from warehouses and vendors, and inspecting grounds.

Salary Range Information

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Salary Range

$24.00-$27.00 per hour
