Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Fort Morgan, Colorado

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the Communications industry based in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, with a focus on account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations and general ledger management. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accuracy in financial statements

• Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data

• Manage the month end close process to ensure timely financial reporting

• Utilize Dynamics GP software for accounting tasks

• Engage in grant accounting processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the communications industry.

• Extensive experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger and creating Journal Entries.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Proven experience in Month End Close procedures and ensuring accuracy of financial statements.

• Familiarity with Dynamics GP software for managing and integrating finances.

• Experience in Grant Accounting, including tracking and reporting on grant funds.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with various departments and external stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.

• Adherence to confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive financial information.

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills in line with industry trends and advancements.
