As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced software solutions to address complex challenges in our industry. You will play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge software applications that drive innovation and enhance the performance of our products. Your expertise in software engineering will contribute to the success of our projects and help us deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Fort Washington, PA location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of advanced software solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in high-growth businesses. In particular, the Honeywell SmartLine series of transmitters and other devices which are used to optimize and control global industrial processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions. Your work will contribute to the success of our products and help us maintain our position as a leader in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions to address complex challenges • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices • Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure high-quality deliverables • Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related field • 5+ years of experience in software development • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++ • Industrial communication protocol experience - I2C, SPI, UART and high-level protocols • Embedded systems experience in milliwatt power environments • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines • Use of source control tools like Git, BitBucket • Utility or test Software development on PC • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
