Need 3 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Laborers From: 03/01/2025 - 12/01/2025 Work: 55 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 9 hrs./day, Sat. - Sun. 5 hrs./day. 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm s operation. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 07/17/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, hand pick and manually grade crops, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers, record information about crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, weigh containers and record weights and identifying information, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi-trucks, skid steers, sprayers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce corn, potatoes, soybeans, sugar beets, wheat, Edible beans, field peas. JOB REQUIREMENTS: No experience required, employer will train. Able to speak and understand English. No minimum education required. Able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers' license (Class D) within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation an subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
