The Role

We are currently seeking for an experienced and passionate Industry Lead Solution Engineer for our Cloud Applications Team in Germany who wants to take the next step in the career and join an exciting workplace.

The Industry Lead Solution Engineer is a crucial business enabler, driving strategic, cross-line-of-business (X-LOB) opportunities within a specific industry. This role is instrumental in building long-term relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and proposing Oracle solutions that add value. The successful candidate will drive and expand Oracle's business in an industry, working closely with the sales team and customers as a trusted advisor.

Core Responsibilities:

  • -Drive X-LOB Oracle Cloud Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of integrated Oracle solutions tailored to the specific industry's needs. Focus on cross-functional opportunities, aligning relevant Oracle teams and resources to deliver comprehensive proposals.

    • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, proactive relationships with key customers, understanding their business processes and challenges. Serve as a trusted advisor, becoming intimately involved in their strategic initiatives.
    • Value Proposition Development: Collaborate with customers and the Oracle Customer Development team to identify business pains and develop compelling Oracle value propositions. Leverage industry knowledge and Oracle expertise to propose innovative solutions.
    • Team Orchestration: Involve, motivate, and manage diverse Oracle teams, including presales, consulting, development, industry communities to realize the proposed Oracle solution. Engage external partners when required to enhance the customer's architecture.
    • Sales Enablement: Work closely with the Account Executive (AE) as a dedicated business partner. Enable the sales team by providing industry expertise, pitching Oracle's differentiators, and demonstrating the overall value proposition.
    • Discovery and Communication: Lead discovery sessions with customers, involving major stakeholders and articulating Oracle's vision and capabilities. Effectively communicate the proposed solution's benefits and manage customer expectations.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Extensive Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of customer businesses and processes, with a focus on one or two industries (Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail, Health, Logistics and others)

  • Leadership and Communication: A natural leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Motivational and inspirational, fostering a shared vision within the customer development team.

  • Domain Expertise: Possess expert-level knowledge in at least one Oracle domain (e.g., HCM, ERP, SCM, CX) and a strong basic understanding of the remaining domains.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic technical skills including integration, security, and database knowledge. The ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition, focusing on industry-specific benefits.

  • Network Builder: Ability to build and expand professional networks, both internally within Oracle and externally with customers and partners.

  • Problem Solving and Facilitation: Proactive in approaching challenges. Skilled in facilitating collaboration and creativity within teams to enhance solution effectiveness.

  • Experience: Typically requiring 3-5 years of solution engineering experience, with a track record of success in driving complex deals and managing customer relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Ability to travel
