Job Purpose:

The Sales Account Specialist is responsible for driving sales by acquiring new customers, maintaining current customers, creating long-term, profitable sales growth, and overseeing competitive bids.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Drive sales

· Build customer relationships and customer outreach

· Provide excellent customer service

· Sales Call Reports

· Lead On Time Shipping committee meetings

· Assemble weekly sales team minutes

· Contract renewals

· Answer customer concerns

· Establish and maintain continuous improvement (2 Second Lean), problem solving (KATA technique), and Root Cause analysis

· Maintain ISO 9001:2015 departmental standards

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent

· 5 years' experience in sales and customer service

· Understanding of the sales process and dynamics

· Professionalism, patience, and a "people first" attitude

· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Works well independently and in a team environment

· Self-motivated, fast learner, exceptional problem-solving abilities

· Efficient multi-tasker in fast-paced, changing environment

· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Zoom, Skype, and MS Teams skills

· Experience with CRM and SAGE a plus

Working Conditions:

· Work in office

· Mill environment

· Travel

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit for extended periods of time

· Ability to occasionally stand or walk

· Ability to lift items (occasionally more than 10 lbs.)

· Various repetitive motions -- typing

Essential Job Functions:

· New customer acquisitions

· Increase current customer accounts

· Quote pricing to customers

· Develop new customer accounts and relationships

· Assist VP of Commercial and Assistant VP of Sales as needed

· Prepare shipments for invoicing

· Enter POs formula for ship date

· Provide certifications required for POs

· Allocate POs and pick sheets for shipping

· Research galvanized Pos for ready-to-ship

· Consignment orders/end-of-month consignment floor count balance

· Scan invoices

Machines/Equipment used for Position:

· Computer/Scanning Equipment

· iPad

· Fax/scan equipment

· Phone

· Personal Vehicle for travel

Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
