API Heat Transfer Maintenance Technician in Franklin, Wisconsin

Overview:

  • Checking the operation of machines. Troubleshooting of electrical, electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Performs complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment.

  • Troubleshoots electrical and various types of industrial controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes.

  • Modifies and rebuilds manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support. Provides input to proposed manufacturing equipment. Installs capital equipment.

  • Understands and interprets electrical & mechanical drawings/schematics for troubleshooting equipment with minimal assistance.

  • Maintains work orders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for accurate maintenance record keeping.

  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.

  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.

  • Maintains and operates the wastewater treatment system to stay in compliance with state and local municipalities requirements for safe Zinc levels in the public waterways.

  • General building maintenance and repairs.

Experience:

+ + 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Electrical experience with 12/24v – 120/240v – 230/480v

  • Certifications and licenses required - Such as Electrician License, Engineering, Fabrication Certificate or License, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, or Plumbing

  • Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities at a time.

  • Familiar with CMMS scheduling systems.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical components

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, work well under tight deadlines.

  • Some experience with programming machines i.e.: CNC programs, PLC etc.

  • Some light machining skills/experience with a mill, surface grinder, and lathe
