Overview: Checking the operation of machines. Troubleshooting of electrical, electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Performs complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment. Troubleshoots electrical and various types of industrial controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes. Modifies and rebuilds manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support. Provides input to proposed manufacturing equipment. Installs capital equipment. Understands and interprets electrical & mechanical drawings/schematics for troubleshooting equipment with minimal assistance. Maintains work orders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for accurate maintenance record keeping. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders. Maintains and operates the wastewater treatment system to stay in compliance with state and local municipalities requirements for safe Zinc levels in the public waterways. General building maintenance and repairs.
