Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNA Lead to join our Fraser Villa team. As a CNA Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients and leading a team of Certified Nursing Assistants. Your role will involve coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the CNA team, ensuring adherence to healthcare protocols and standards, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong clinical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of Certified Nursing Assistants, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
Coordinate and assign tasks to CNA staff, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
Monitor and assess the performance of CNA team members, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist in the orientation and training of new CNA staff, ensuring they are familiar with policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Provide direct patient care as needed, including assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication under the supervision of nursing staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and any changes in patient condition.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
Promote a positive and respectful work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth among the CNA team.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Michigan.
Proven experience as a CNA in a long term care setting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Solid clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care principles.
Proficiency in using electronic healthcare software.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and quality care to patients.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
