Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNA Lead to join our Fraser Villa team. As a CNA Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients and leading a team of Certified Nursing Assistants. Your role will involve coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the CNA team, ensuring adherence to healthcare protocols and standards, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong clinical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Certified Nursing Assistants, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.

  • Coordinate and assign tasks to CNA staff, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient care.

  • Monitor and assess the performance of CNA team members, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

  • Assist in the orientation and training of new CNA staff, ensuring they are familiar with policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Provide direct patient care as needed, including assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication under the supervision of nursing staff.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and any changes in patient condition.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control protocols, and safety standards.

  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth among the CNA team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Michigan.

  • Proven experience as a CNA in a long term care setting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Solid clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care principles.

  • Proficiency in using electronic healthcare software.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and quality care to patients.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
