Job Description

The Advanced Cell Systems Production team at ThermoFisher Scientific is responsible for testing various Primary tissue derived products including cells, RNA, and subcellular fractions along with reagents and for a variety of biological applications. Our team is dynamic and fast paced, relying on teamwork, multitasking and communication within the team and the larger organization. We are seeking an upbeat individual with effective communication, technical and operational skills to join our team. The candidate will follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and work in compliance with EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and any other required manufacturing or company systems (e.g., E1 (Enterprise 1), Agile, Track wise, etc.). This position will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving daily production schedules and product quality goals.

What will you be doing?

  • The candidate will follow SOPs and work in compliance with EH&S, GLP, and any other required manufacturing or company systems (e.g., E1, Agile, Track wise, etc.).

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of scientific principles, biology

  • Culture and maintain cells using aseptic technique

  • Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment like HPLC, Mass Spec, ELISA, PCR etc.

  • Perform mathematical calculations routinely (e.g., viability, concentration, and density).

  • Record information accurately into various electronic databases (e.g., raw and calculated data, inventory transfers, routing hours).

  • Review data, recognize and report inconsistencies to supervisor

  • Troubleshoot and think critically Anticipate needs and problems while crafting solutions using PPI (Practical Process Improvement) tool

  • Scheduling, closing work orders and NPI.

  • Understand and apply good documentation practices consistently when detailing work

  • Follows ThermoFisher Scientific safety guidelines

  • On-call Hours required

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Biology or Biomedical Sciences.

Experience/Requirements:

· Minimum of 0-2 years related experience.

· Knowledge of Aseptic Technique

· Cell Culture knowledge a plus

· Some rodent handling and procedural experience a plus
