WestRock Company Quality Technician in Fresno, California
Education Requirement(s):
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years’ experience in a Quality Tech role and SQF background experience preferred.
Summary:
Inspect and test incoming product, internally produced components, and final products to meet the customer requirements and standards.
Write inspection reports, suggest improvements, and analyze test data
Support the purpose of the team by participating in initiatives and activities, and attending meetings scheduled during shift.
Additional job duties as assigned by Leadership.
Safety:
Required - PPE must be worn while on your job. Safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection.
Required - All safety policies and guidelines must be followed.

Internal Auditor course
Sustainability Chain of Custody Module
Essential Skills:
Excellent organization skills
Operate spectrophotometer to read in standards and read color for measurements.
Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler)
Operate score bend, gloss meter, rub tester, slip tester, open force, densitometer, copier/fax.
Good mechanical aptitude
Written/Verbal Communications Skills - Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.
Computer Skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Email, AS400, Shop Floor
Knowledge of cartons - perform quality checks on cartons being processed.
Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, Safety, etc.
Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs (while in production area)
