For our Motion, Power, Sensing Division site based in Fribourg, we are currently looking for a
Regional Sales Manager
The Position
As “Regional Sales Manager” you assess, appoint, train, grow and manage the sales channels in the assigned region to maximize sales and profit growth of vibro-meter products in the Energy markets. The main responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Represent the first point of contact for sales channels and customers in the assigned area and coordinate with internal customer support, engineering, quality, sales and marketing teams to provide constant support to customers when needed
Train, support and grow existing sales channels to maximize sales and profit for Parker Meggitt Energy business
Gain market understanding and ensure proactive sales activities of the sales channels through regular face to face meetings, reporting and activities review
Train the sales channels on the utilization of our CRM ensuring a sufficient opportunities pipeline
Lead the proposal process for large or strategic bids, coordinating the efforts of the proposal team (customer support, application engineers, sales, etc.)
Liaise with order processing and production for specific clarifications, e.g lead time, export control, etc.
Liaise with customer support, product managers, and other sales team members for technical support, service or training to distributors and direct customers in the assigned region
Support trade shows and marketing activities when required
Provide analysis and inputs on product needs forecasting
Lead the commercial negotiations with assigned sales channels in coordination with the contracts team and the Group’s legal department
Your Profile
University Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering/Technical field with 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in the Energy business or any related industries dealing with rotating equipment, preferably in an international environment
Open-minded with excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders
Ability to understand and contextualize customer needs and very good business acumen
Results and customer focus with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Resilient, solution-oriented and passionate
Adaptable, fast learner and can-do attitude
Ability to work autonomously while enjoying being part of a team
Fluency in English with ideally good command of French. Proficiency in Italian and/or German will constitute a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
