Description:

The position schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30a - 3:00p.

Manage the day-to-day inventory of the hospital stores warehouse

Place orders with vendors, unloads Owens & Minor daily trucks, take calls from the units and direct staff for delivery of stock and nonstock items.

What you will do:

Demonstrate knowledge and competency to manage receiving and distribution of supplies and services throughout the facility as needed.

Provide leadership and management of the department environment to promote professional practice.

Actively participate as a department lead.

Assure that orientation and educational programs are implemented to meet the needs of the colleagues.

Assist manager/director in monitoring department budget.

Coordinate communication and problem resolution to facilitate the operation of department.

Assist in developing, revising and implementing specific policies and procedures.

Promote a safe environment for patients and colleagues.

Actively participate in the hiring, evaluating, counseling and corrective action process for colleagues as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. College degree preferable.

  • Special courses in materials management or institutional management, or equivalent experience is necessary.

  • Demonstrable leadership potential is necessary.

  • Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English language is necessary.
