Description:

Patient Engagement

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, creating a positive and welcoming environment.

  • Field questions from prospective and established patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.

  • Guide patients through their orthopedic care journey, providing personalized support and information

  • Empower patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare by educating them on relevant topics such as insurance coverage, available care providers, and treatment options.

Appointment Scheduling and Concierge-Level Service

  • Schedule appointments efficiently, considering the availability of patients and care team members

  • Coordinate referrals for a multi-disciplinary care team, ensuring timely and accurate communication

  • Create a high touch, concierge-type patient experience from initial contact through the entire orthopedic care process.

  • Ensure patients feel supported, valued, and well-informed at every step of their healthcare at Commons

Education and Communication

  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner

  • Educate patients on their insurance coverage, including benefits, limitations, and any potential out of pocket expenses

Coordination of Care

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team to coordinate appointments, referrals, and any necessary care follow up

  • Work effectively with diverse populations including staff and providers to create a high touch/high value care experience for patient

  • Maintain open communication with the care team to ensure seamless patient care coordination

Advocacy for Patient Needs

  • Serve as an advocate for the the patient, ensuring their concerns and preferences are communicated to the care team

  • Work to address any obstacles that may hinder the patient's ability to access and understand their healthcare options

  • Assist patients in accessing additional resources that may enhance their overall well being

Professionalism and Adaptability

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions - Concierge style medicine

  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a changing work environment.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing, BSN preferred.

A minimum of two years of experience in a neuro, ortho or spine related field and five years experience as an RN.

  • Must have demonstrated competence in the organization and implementation of health education and consultative services.

License/Certification

  • Registered Nurse in the STATE of FLORIDA

  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
