Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Fullerton, California
Description
On behalf of our client, a manufacturing firm located in Fullerton, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk. You will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to customer credit management, cash applications, and collections.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily cash application (i.e. checks, credit cards, wire), billing/payment issues as well as daily/monthly closing and reconciliation of AR
Credit processing and evaluation of new customers by performing credit checks and obtaining necessary information for credit approval, updating credit limits, daily review and account monitoring of customer limits and preempting problems/issues
Responsible for collections of delinquent customer accounts, as well as assisting in placement of accounts to collections, handling customers inquiries and reconciliation’s
Identifies payment discrepancies and initiates dispute resolution process; performs follow up procedures as needed
Maintain accounts in current status, contacting customer/salesman for collection/reconciliation
Close out credit Card Transaction daily
Maintain accurate customer files
Perform special projects/assignments as needed by management
Assist in daily order/invoice filing
Prepare check deposits
Cross train/assist in other departments as needed
Requirements
• Strong data entry skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
• Experience in Accounts Receivable is a plus
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Basic computer skills, including experience with accounting software
