Siemens Energy Manufacturing Technician - Shell - Wed to Sat in Gibsonton, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day

Input molds into the shell system and monitors all automated systems according to production specifications to produce parts of exceptional quality while following part-specific GSPs and Work Instructions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Trained and signed off on Proven Skills Checklist for Mercury, Shell Input, Blowoff, and Pre-Wet and Refill Sand/Slurry.

  • Check with the Team Lead or Shell Supervision for any updates to the work schedule or safety items.

  • Perform CTQs at the beginning of every shift and perform basic Housekeeping throughout the shift.

  • Inputs mold into Shell automated system following Work Instructions in Mercury.

  • Responsible for set-up and troubleshooting operations of automated systems and auxiliary equipment.

  • Ensures the correct practice is pulled up on the production system screen (Mercury) while performing any operation.

  • Check all cells regularly and fix or report any issues found.

  • Processes the components or semi-products/products according to engineering specifications and quality standards and operates the sandblast cabinet.

  • Adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required by quality criteria.

  • Maintain the flow and quality of parts produced.

  • Organizes and uses machine-related tools, manipulators, and equipment relevant to production.

  • Performs basic or specifically defined maintenance operations; cooperates with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.

  • Use hand tools, including wrenches, Allen wrenches, and screwdrivers.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Ability to read Engineering instructions.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
