Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Business System Analyst II in Glen Allen, Virginia. In this role, you will serve as the main systems manager for assigned platforms, aligning the company's technology with business strategies. Your role will involve needs assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and transforming business and end user requests into practical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Translate business needs into technical requirements to guide the implementation of new features, systems, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure the system solution meets business needs.
• Communicate with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements and system goals.
• Represent the business in presenting new systems/applications to the Application and Architecture Review Board.
• Lead design sessions for new systems or functionalities to improve business processes, operations, and information process flow.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, data flow diagrams, and workflows, documenting integration points between systems across the organization.
• Conduct systems analysis including creation of technical requirements, access framework, data flow, and operational process mapping.
• Improve systems and operational workflows by studying current practices and proposing modifications or enhancements.
• Review existing systems, analyze their effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies for improvement or further leveraging.
• Provide ongoing support structure and document Roles and Responsibilities before an application or system is approved for production readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues in alignment with the Problem and Incident Troubleshooting process.
• Represent production changes to the Change Control Board, complying with the process requirements.
• Participate in and lead system and unit testing for modified and new systems, providing post-implementation support. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Customer Service, with a commitment to providing excellent service
• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining Documentation related to business operations and procedures
• Experience in managing Operations and implementing Procedures
• Strong Research skills, with the ability to Review and analyze data effectively
• Proven ability in Design and Presentations of business strategies and plans
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and their role in business operations
• Experience in Production management, including working with Vendors and handling Troubleshoot scenarios
• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required
• Experience in the Implementation and Engineering of business systems
• Familiarity with best Practices in business system analysis
• Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to liaise with various Stakeholders
• Proven ability to Execute tasks efficiently and manage system Upgrades
• Knowledge of Framework structures and Computer Sciences
• Understanding of Business Process Functions and ability to create a Business Requirement Document
