Voth Dairy, LLC Ag. Equipment Operator in Goodhue, Minnesota
Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operator to work in Goodhue, MN. From: 04/01/2024 to 12/30/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by crop and weather conditions. The workday may begin/end earlier or later on any given day and evening, night hours may be required. Workers may be requested to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and the Sabbath depending on crop conditions and need. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 08/16/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operate various farm equipment (combines, tractors, trucks, etc.) for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing and harvesting of crops. Maintain/repair equipment. Grain handling, hauling farm commodities. Minor farm construction projects. Build, maintain, repair fencing. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Assist with cattle (tagging, vaccinating, implanting, etc.) to prepare for pasture. Monitor cattle. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. This job involves manual labor, lifting, carrying, long days in the heat. Rain days are typically spent in the shop repairing equipment and preparing for the next day's work. Crops: alfalfa, corn One hour lunch break offered. JOB REQUIREMENTS: No experience necessary, employer will train. Must have a regular Class D driver's license and a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record). No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
