The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Team Member Housing Supervisor to join our team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Team Member Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the total cleanliness of all rooms, as well as assigning rooms and delegating tasks.

$18.00 - $19.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Communicate with team members to assign housing, coordinate activities and provide transportation.

  • Drive 12-passenger company van on and off property; valid drivers license required.

  • Supervise, train and direct housing assistants and enforce policies.

  • Maintain orderly and accurate uniform stock and inventory.

  • Assist staff with cleaning housing, laundry facilities and common areas as needed.

More about you

  • Requires valid driver’s license, must pass non CDL DOT physical and safely operate company vehicle in inclement weather.

  • High School graduate or GED and a minimum of 2 years as housekeeping supervisor or similar experience required.

  • Ability to work quickly under pressure, train and motivate staff members.

  • Understands simple math, communicates in English language and familiar with computer.

  • Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds including furniture and equipment.

  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, lifting, repetitive motion and use of stairs.

  • Visual acuity; ability to sit for extended periods while working with computer and driving.

  • Use of chemicals to clean housing, bathrooms, floors, laundry facilities and kitchens.

  • Will be subject to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and snow.
