Description
Robert Half is seeking a Systems / Network Administrator for a New Mexico based organization.
The System Administrator works to maintain, analyze, trouble-shoot and repair computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals and networking equipment and wiring. Document, maintain, provides upgrades or replaces systems, software and networking equipment as needed. Maintain user account information including access rights, security and system groups. This position has a wide degree of creativity and latitude to accomplish tasks.
Essential Functions:
Monitors the computer systems, network; installs, configures computers and software.
Monitor the server and networking infrastructure; installs and configures networking hardware.
Completes data entry or other documentation as required in the computer or other locations.
Works with users to promote the use of automation and provide end user support.
Serves as part of after-hours call service support team.
Other duties as assigned by department manager within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities which could be considered essential within the function of this position.
7.This is an on call rotation support role

The successful Systems/ Network Administrator will have:
Education and/or Experience:
• Associate degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience, Bachelor degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Experience:
• Knowledge of Windows servers, permissions changes, Active Directory management, scripting
• VmWare knowledge, familiarity with Vmware clusters, synchronization a preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the computer and operating systems.
• Knowledge of computer networks, network protocols and topologies.
• The ability to make critical judgements and work independently.
• End user support and good Interpersonal skills and adoption of customer service concepts
Background required prior to pre employment.
