Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).

Schedule: 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am to 7pm with rotating Saturday shifts once per month from 8:30am to 1:30pm

Location: 107 Northern Blvd. Suite 201 Great Neck, NY 11021

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile

  • Assists patients with signing in and completing registration

  • Enters and scans patient’s demographic and insurance information into Epic

  • Verifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefits

  • Collects co-payments and patient balances

  • Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages

  • Assists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow up care for patients; schedules referral appointments for patients and obtains authorization for diagnostic testing

  • Assists with other tasks as assigned

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am to 7pm with rotating Saturday shifts once per month from 8:30am to 1:30pm at 107 Northern Blvd. Suite 201 Great Neck, NY 11021

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with working in a medical office setting

  • Epic experience

  • Customer service experience

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
