JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20960 WORKING TITLE: Assistant Director of Housing for Camps, Conference, & Oneida Youth Programming UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Administrative Manager POSTING DATE: June 12, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position reports to the Executive Director of Housing & Residential Education and provides guidance and support for program planning, implementation, and evaluation as it pertains to summer camps & youth programing. In addition, this position monitors budget and appropriate funding for programming, develops contracts with partners, promotes stable and productive relationships between the university and community, and strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. This position hires, trains and supervises both full-time and temporary staff, including university students. Lastly, this position requires the person to live on campus serving as a part of the Housing & Residential Education program and provides support to the department, including assisting in the management of camp and guest housing. This position includes the following responsibilities: -Plans, implements, executes and evaluates existing strategies and objectives for camp programming as well as Oneida Youth programming. -Oversees all management of camp/conference registrations, youth compliance, staff hiring, and ensuring compliance with University policies/procedures. -Develops third party contracts for camp/conference services. Assists with the management of temporary housing, including guests and camp attendees. -Monitors the unit or program budget and approves program expenditures. Oversees billing, invoices, room reservations, and serves as the University coordinator of all camp needs. Assists academic units in developing budget for camps and ensuring supplies are purchased according to University regulations. -Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan. Creates campus partnerships and connections to community events to support camp and Oneida youth programming. Actively develops, reviews recommendations for and provides input on the design and development of new outreach. SPECIAL NOTES: Position is a full-time, Academic Staff appointment. The standard work hours for this position are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is required to live on campus, serving as a part of the Housing & Residential Education program. The live-in nature of the position requires presence during the workday, while serving on-duty during the evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attends evening and weekend events related to Housing & Residential Education, camps, or Oneida programming. Provides support to night and weekends camp, conference, and Oneida programming.
