Job Title: Cornell Nights (2-2-3) - Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Candidates in this role will be responsible for maintaining production and packaging line repair needs by responding to maintenance calls in a timely manner to reduce downtime. They will follow work orders assigned by supervisors, adhere to SOPs, and follow lock out/tag out procedures. Additionally, they will request parts or supplies as needed to maintain machinery via maintenance software, perform all preventative and predictive maintenance using Asset Inspection Sheets, and participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Lean trainings.
Responsibilities
Respond to maintenance calls in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
Follow work orders assigned by supervisors.
Adhere to SOPs and lock out/tag out procedures.
Request parts or supplies as needed to maintain machinery via maintenance software.
Perform all preventative and predictive maintenance using Asset Inspection Sheets.
Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Lean trainings.
Train on 1st shift until ready to move to designated shift.
Essential Skills
1 year of industrial mechanic experience.
Ability to own and bring a basic tool set to work.
1 year of experience repairing conveyors, motors, and pumps.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High mechanical aptitude.
Any electrical experience is helpful.
Candidates with experience in automotive/diesel mechanics along with industrial experience are ideal.

Work Environment
The work environment allows for a 'work at your own pace' schedule, with an emphasis on completing work properly and thoroughly the first time. Most work is done independently unless it requires heavy lifting (75+ pounds). All candidates will train on the 1st shift at $29/hr until they move to their designated shift. The facility is equipped with various machines including hoppers, ovens, conveyors, rolling presses, plate warmers, actuator hoists, cooling racks, band saws, flour silos, flour sifters, and cardboard and plastic bailers. Candidates must fully document and sign the Maintenance Asset Inspection sheet before and after each shift, detailing the types of repairs completed and the tooling/equipment used.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
