What you will do

  • Help create and then follow scripts that document Cobol programs in our mainframe system using AI (Github Copilot)

  • Develop, under direction, a framework to capture documentation both at a business level and potentially in an API format for mainframe Mack and Volvo Invoicing Functions.

  • Validate with application team that documentation is correct as implemented and define and maintain a repository (Github)

  • Cooperate with team, users, and other relevant stakeholders

  • Develop repeatable methodology for updating documentation for future changes

Who are you?

  • You have a strong understanding of APIs

  • You have worked with multiple programming languages and understand the value of documentation

  • Must be enrolled in a degree seeking program

  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours or be classified as a sophomore

  • Must be of good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75

  • You are available from August 2024 – December 2024

  • You are a patient, understanding and empathetic person

  • You can organize your thoughts in a concise manner

  • You like to learn and educate others

  • You pay attention to details

  • You accept ownership of issues

  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong communication style and ability to translate requests into a functional solution

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
