Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using a company vehicle and driving it to various company buildings to pick up materials that need to be shipped. (The vehicle is a 25 ft. box truck with automatic transmission.)

  • Using the company's inventory management software to enter information about moving product and materials from one company location to another shipping products and enter shipping information.

  • Getting instructions via e-mail to ship products or deal with issues around getting products successfully shipped.

  • Understanding product receiving processes including PO receipts, using a handheld scanner and using a cell phone app to complete receiving transactions.

  • Analyzing and prioritizing requests for shipping or dealing with issues around shipping that come in via e-mail, and deal with them in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Using third party carrier company software to enter information to prepare and schedule shipments.

  • Printing out shipping labels, and preparing and processing packages for shipping.

  • Communicating with company personnel and outside shipping officials to make sure any issues around getting products shipped successfully and on time are dealt with.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred

  • Must have a valid drivers license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

  • Must be able to drive a 25 ft. box truck (automatic transmission)

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to multi-task and skillfully prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Must have strong computer skills and be able to use e-mail and quickly learn and use sophisticated inventory control software, as well as Microsoft Teams for daily video meetings.

  • Have some experience working with a computer based warehouse / inventory management system. (Any experience with SAP software is a plus, but not required)

  • Must work well with others and be part of a team.

  • Previous warehouse shipping experience is a plus.

  • Must be reliable, trustworthy and have strong integrity.

  • Be willing to work overtime with short notice if a situation arises requiring it.
