What we’re looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience in the claims/insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of reviewing and creating contracts is required.

  • Advanced MS Excel, communication, attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Freight Forwarding experience is a plus but not required!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Investigate claims to ascertain the validity of claims and the extent of company liability.

  • Processes freight and property claims for which the company is liable and submits claims to head office for settlement or negotiates settlement with the claimant and authorizes payment.

  • Communicate with customers, insurance companies, surveyors, and others regarding claim status and claim-related matters.

  • Tracks and maintains records of legal cases and claims to evaluate their relevance.

  • Keeps current on industry regulations and trends.

  • Assists the Sales team by selling and procuring Cargo insurance.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in International Business and/or relevant work experience.
