WestRock Company Summer Student in Guelph, Ontario

Job Summary

Reporting to the Converting or Corrugator Supervisor, you will be required to work an 8-hour day Monday to Friday on one of the following shifts - days, afternoons, or nights. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

\u2022Working as part of a team you are responsible for the daily production of quality corrugated products in a safe and efficient manner

\u2022Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring order specs and special requirements are accurately followed

\u2022Perform production quality checks according to WestRock production requirements

\u2022Work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, a quality product, and a satisfied customer

\u2022Maintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environment

\u2022Other duties as assigned

What you will be doing:

Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to the end of August.

Shift work is required. Employees will be required to do manual labour and heavy lifting.

Employees will feed corrugated stock into our machines or pack boxes.

Safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.

What you need to succeed:

MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE

ENROLLED IN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

ABLE TO WORK ON ONE OF THE 3 SHIFTS AVAILABLE AS ASSIGNED
