Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Assessment and Intake Specialist / F280P in Gulfport, Mississippi

This position is for a Assessment and Intake Specialist with an educational institution with opportunity in Gulfport, MS.

Job Description: The Assessment and Intake Specialist assists in the Adult Education enrollment intake process and proctoring assessments for prospective and current students. The Assessment and Intake Specialist facilitates, schedules, and administers TABE, HiSET GED, & NCRC testing, as well as assists with other Adult Education program needs as assigned. The Assessment and Intake Specialist works under the daily supervision of the Adult Education Director.

Job Duties: Coordinate the scheduling of required assessments (TABE, GED, HiSET, ACT WorkKeys) across all district locations, including correctional facilities. Complete and maintain all certifications and training necessary for assessment platforms. Administer TABE, GED, HiSET, and ACT WorkKeys assessments to prospective students. Interpret assessment results and provide feedback to students. Report issues, changes, and platform requests to the Accountability and Assessment Coordinator and the AE Director. Accept flexible scheduling and work locations as program needs change. Perform intake duties for Adult Education when necessary. Make referrals to classes and/or training based on student needs and levels. Participate in outreach activities to recruit students and engage with local agencies. Maintain assessment filing records according to assessment agency and MGCCC policies. Understand and utilize state-approved assessment platforms (DRC, ACT WorkKeys, LACES). Complete and submit accurate reports for each assessment platform on time. Manage ACT WorkKeys check requests, reconciliations, SCT Banner data entry, purchase orders, receiving reports, travel vouchers, and requisitions. Upgrade skills and performance through MGCCC staff development activities. Maintain a professional attitude toward students and college personnel. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications: Minimum of Associate's degree from an institution of higher education. Minimum of 2 years of experience proctoring assessments in an educational setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Community college experience and/or SCT Banner experience. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, education, or computer related field. Experience working in CTE, AE, or Workforce programs. Experience in administering GED/HiSET/NCRC. Experience with Lumens. Proficient in SharePoint.
