Stryker Manager, HR Operations in Gurugram, India

What You will Do

As the HR Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and expertise to the business by managing day-to-day myHR support for multiple APAC countries. Reporting to APAC HR Operations Director, you will collaborate with Country HRs, COEs, Regional & Global HR Ops teams, IS and relevant stakeholders to drive HR operational excellence. You will play an integral role in supporting HR cycle processes, M&A integration and projects to driving continuous improvements in HR service delivery model, data quality, training, technology enhancements, knowledge management and processes.

While not all encompassing, this newly created role’s primary activities can be grouped into three main areas:

HR Operations and Compliance:

  • Manage a team of 3-5 myHR team members based in India Gurugram and Bengaluru.

  • Establish and setup a two-shift operations support model in India.

  • Oversee scheduling to ensure sufficient support coverage across assigned countries in APAC.

  • Conduct myHR ticket & call monitoring, knowledge management & HR data integrity reviews, providing timely feedback and coaching to ensure performance metrics are being met or exceeded.

  • Solid hands-on experience, and able to support Tier 1 & 2 activities.

  • Monitor the case management system, ensuring timely delivery of services according to SLA; partner with and coach team to adjust performance as needed.

  • Balance improving the overall employee experience and driving operational efficiency, collaborating with other HR Operations leaders, HR COEs, Country HRs, Systems & Reporting teams to ensure effective hand-offs between support tiers and teams.

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Optimize HR processes, systems, knowledge management and HR Portal for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop and engage the team which includes setting appropriate expectations, leading team meetings, development plans, performance coaching and succession planning.

  • Represent the myHR APAC team and contribute to Global HR operations team in defining strategy, execution, and continuous improvement for the myHR team.

Transformation and Change Management:

  • Drive HR transformation initiatives to enhance HR operations performance and employee experience.

  • Lead change management efforts to support the adoption of new HR processes, technologies, and knowledge management initiatives.

  • Develop and implement strategies to manage resistance to change and ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Participate in and support global HR operations projects and initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align HR operations strategies.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive operational excellence.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers at all levels, ensuring transparency and clarity.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5+ years of progressive experience in HR operations and transformation projects, preferably working experience in a HR Shared Services, consulting or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment.

  • Having at least 3 years of work experience in managing or working closely with a HR Shared Service Center. Experience in managing multi-shift operations center will be highly advantage.

  • Proven experience in leading HR transformations and managing change initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exposure to HR operations into multiple APAC countries required.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English. Fluency in other Asian languages (Korean, Thai, Cantonese, Malay etc) will be a distinct advantage.

  • Must be flexible with morning shift (6:00am to 3:00pm IST) due to market coverage, and evening calls with global teams in United States.
