Aerotek Avionics Technician in Hagerstown, Maryland

Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing systems used for aircraft navigation and radio communications, weather radar systems, and other instruments and computers that control flight, engine, and other primary functions. You will perform inspections, make adjustments and repairs, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to aircraft. Your role also includes performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data, SOPs, and FAA/JAA regulations. You will also contribute to providing Total System Solutions for Aircraft Modification, Maintenance, Primary Mission Equipment Integration, Operations and Contractor Logistics Support, Lead Systems Integration, and full Turn-Key field Operations.

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Work Environment

Your work environment will be a hangar environment and for a 145 repair station. Your typical working hours will be the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, with overtime as work dictates. The job is in a very fast-paced environment where you will be given specific tasks and work orders that need to be completed within a designated timeline. The dress code is standard - jeans and a t-shirt with steel-toed shoes.
