Insight Global Structures Technician IV in Hagerstown, Maryland
Job Description
An Aviation company is looking for a Structural Technician in Hagerstown, Maryland to modify commercial and military jet engine aircraft for use in reconnaissance efforts. The Structures Technician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics to fabricate sheet metal for use with mounting LRUs including part fitting by bending, filing, trimming, framing, and riveting to dimensions listed. They will mount fixtures on the interior and exterior, measure parts with calibrated tools, and monitor quality for verification by the quality team. Candidates will need to have a high level of skill with riveting including the ability to match drill and countersink holes and buck/squeeze countersunk/button head rivets on objects of various dimensions. The work environment is very quality oriented over quantity and technicians are given a lot of leeway to work on their own accord.
$45/hr with opportunity to make OT & DT
10% differential for 2nd shift
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements
HS Diploma/GED
6+ years structural experience with sheet metal for aircraft
2+ years Experience Bucking/ Drilling Countersunk Rivets
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must provide own tools Military/DOD background
A&P Cert null
