Our Hainesport Drivers makes product deliveries to customers, performs various customer service functions in connection with the deliveries, and maintains accurate required documentation.

What You Will Do:

  • Makes product deliveries and/or picks up cases from our customers.

  • Rearranges or restacks loads to make deliveries, as needed.

  • Accounts for all breakage, overage and shortage.

  • Accurately completes required delivery paperwork.

  • Obtains written signature from customers for proof of delivery.

  • Follows Company work rules and policies.

  • Maintains satisfactory attendance to include timeliness.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

    What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

  • Required to possess a valid class A or B license or permit with air-brake certification, a current medical certificate, and a safe driving record.

  • Drivers are required to submit to all drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations, including random screening.

  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a New Jersey driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

  • Required to make an average of 25 deliveries a day with an average of 450 cases per day. The average case weight is approximately 38 pounds.

  • Required to lift cases of product up to 60 pounds.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

    What Will Set You Apart:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of driving experience with a Commercial Driver’s License.

    Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Manual lifting and stacking of cases, which constitute the delivery, on the rear of the truck. Manual lifting and stacking of cases onto hand truck. A hand truck will hold up to 6 cases of wine. Maneuvering of loaded hand truck into customer’s establishment. Involves driving, seeing, hearing, sitting, use of work related tools, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, loading and unloading, repetitive lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling tasks.

  • The noise level in the work environment consists of riding in a delivery truck

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: Starting at $23/hour.

  • Union position with step/rate increases based on the contract

  • The schedule is Monday - Friday, begining at 8am until your delivery route is completed

  • You are paid for 8 hours even when you finish early

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
