Cognizant IAM Engineer in Halifax, Nova Scotia
We are seeking an IAM Engineer with strong experience in Ping-Federate and CA SiteMinder to provide L2 operational support for our Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems! The ideal candidate will be responsible for fixing incident resolution and maintenance of authentication and authorization services ensuring detailed access management across the organization.
In this role, you will:
Provide Level 2 operational support for IAM solutions, primarily Ping Federate and CA SiteMinder.
Troubleshoot and resolve authentication, authorization, and single sign-on (SSO) issues.
Supervise IAM infrastructure for performance, security, and availability.
Perform regular health checks, log analysis, and system maintenance.
Work closely with L3 teams for critical issues and root cause analysis.
Support change management, patching, and upgrades for IAM components.
Detail operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and standard methodologies.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams including security, network, and application teams.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):
5+ years of experience in IAM operations and support.
Must have experience with Ping Federate (SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML).
Expertise in CA SiteMinder (SSO, policy configuration, web agents, federation services).
Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and identity protocols.
Experience with log analysis tools (Splunk, ELK, etc.) for troubleshooting.
What will help you stand out (preferred skills):
Experience with Ping Access, PingID, or other IAM tools.
Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting) for automation.
Knowledge of cloud-based IAM solutions (AWS, Azure AD, Okta, etc.).
