HFC, Inc. Farmworker in Halma, Minnesota
Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Halma, MN. From: 08/01/2024 - 05/31/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST Law: Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, Employers must provide each employee in Minnesota at least (1) hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours. Must Apply By: 12/31/2024 NOTE: JOB DESCRIPTION: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage and post-harvest treatment of crops. Use shovels, scoops and brooms to perform duties. Load agricultural products into trucks to be delivered to market. Must be able to work in dusty conditions and follow safety procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain a driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No HS Diploma/GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
